Identity documents, prepared privately
The right photo and signature for the form in front of you
PAN, Aadhaar, voter ID, driving licence, resume and bank-form uploads each fail for different reasons. Pick the document, choose the exact portal variant, and produce the file on your own device — with the source confidence stated plainly instead of hidden behind a confident-looking number.
Nothing is uploaded
Your face, signature and identity photographs never leave the browser tab.
Exact pixels + KB window
Dimensions alone are not enough; the result card checks the strict byte range too.
No false certainty
Portal-published, cross-checked and planning presets are labelled as different kinds of evidence.

Specifications at a glance
This table is a preparation guide, not a replacement for the live form. The confidence column tells you how to treat each number: verify cross-checked and planning presets against the destination before final submission.

A necessary warning about copied specifications
Search results often present old conversions and portal-specific numbers as if they were universal law. That is how an applicant ends up uploading a square photograph into a portrait field. We would rather show the conflict, label the evidence and point you to the authority than win a click with false precision.
Built for deadline pressure
Start with the destination, not a generic resize. The tool locks the frame, byte window, background and output format, then tells you whether the finished file is truly inside the window.
Frequently asked questions
Why do different websites give different PAN photo dimensions?
Because they are often converting the same physical photograph at different DPI values, or copying specifications from different PAN portal generations. A 25 × 35 mm portrait becomes 197 × 276 px at 200 DPI, while a square UTIITSL-style requirement is quoted as 213 × 213 px. Our PAN tool separates the variants rather than presenting one as universally correct.
Is there one official Aadhaar photo upload size?
Not one universal rule that safely covers every Aadhaar journey. Enrolment photography is normally captured at an enrolment centre, and downstream forms can set their own upload limits. Our Aadhaar page therefore labels its 413 × 531 px settings as planning presets, with stricter and studio variants, rather than inventing an official mandate.
What does “cross-checked specification” mean?
It means detailed secondary references agree on the numbers, but we are not presenting them as a substitute for the live portal instruction. Portal-published is stronger; planning preset means no universal digital specification exists and the preset is a sensible production target.
Can I use the same file for PAN, Aadhaar and a bank form?
Use the same original photograph, but export a separate file for each destination. Dimensions, aspect ratios and KB windows differ, and a file that passes one portal can fail another before a person sees it.
Why does a signature need a minimum file size?
Some upload widgets enforce a window rather than only a maximum. A clean signature on white paper may naturally encode below the floor. The tool can add standards-compliant inert bytes without changing the visible pixels, then reports the final size so you can verify the window.
Are identity photographs uploaded to CompressInKB?
No. The site has no upload endpoint, account system or database for user files. Images are read by the browser, processed with local WebAssembly codecs and returned as downloads. You can test this with the Network tab open.
What should I check immediately before submitting?
Compare three things on the live form: pixel dimensions, minimum and maximum KB, and whether the field is for a photograph or signature. Then compare them with the result card from this tool. The live official instruction always wins if it differs.
Why does my result say “outside window”?
That is an honest failure state, not a cosmetic warning. It usually means the source image cannot reach the requested window at the locked dimensions without unacceptable quality loss, or the wrong variant is selected. Use a cleaner original and confirm the destination field.
