Compress, resize and convert — without uploading a thing
Set a file-size target or resize to the pixel dimensions you need. If a target cannot be reached, the tool tells you. Your selected files are processed on your device, not uploaded to a processing server.

Why a browser-only file tool is the right answer
Your files stay on your device
The application reads selected files in the browser and creates your downloads locally. It has no file-upload endpoint. Your downloaded copies remain on your device until you remove them.
Targets you can check
Enter a target in KB or MB and compare it with the actual result. Image compression searches encoder settings; PDF compression can try a structural rewrite or rebuild pages. Some targets are impossible, and the result will tell you when it stays above the limit.
Designed for everyday devices
Use the responsive tools on a phone, tablet or desktop. Files are limited to 50 MB each, with page and memory safeguards; large jobs can take longer or exceed the memory available on your device.
Questions people ask before their first file
Do I need to install anything, or create an account?
Neither. CompressInKB is a static website — there is no backend, no database and no user accounts. Everything runs in your browser tab using WebAssembly codecs, the File API and the Canvas API. You can bookmark a tool and use it forever without signing in.
How can you guarantee my files never leave my device?
The application processes selected files in the browser and has no file-upload endpoint. You can inspect network requests while processing a sample. The page and codecs may need to be downloaded first; offline use is not guaranteed.
How is this different from the other "compress to 50 KB" sites?
The compressor searches encoder settings against a size target and reports the result. It can add inert padding to some formats for a minimum size; very demanding targets may not be achievable. Check the file size, dimensions and visual quality yourself.
Which specification data do you use for Indian exams?
Exam pages provide independent starting presets and links to official sources. Specifications can change or vary between applications, so verify the exact current notification and any live-photo requirement before submitting. Browser-local admin settings are not a global website update.
Is it really free? How is it funded?
Yes. No account is required and the tools do not add watermarks. File-size, page, pixel and batch limits apply to protect device memory. Advertising is currently disabled.
