Every tool on this site performs one of two things: it re-encodes a file to make it smaller, or it changes its dimensions and format. Both alter the data in your file. Compression is lossy; resizing resamples pixels. You should always keep the original, and you should always check the result against whatever requirement you are submitting it to.

We cannot guarantee that a produced file will be accepted by a third-party portal. If an upload is rejected, the most common causes are documented in our rejection guide.

Specifications are recorded, not authoritative

Exam photo and signature specifications, passport and visa photo standards, and similar reference data are transcribed from the issuing authority's published instructions and dated on the page. Governing bodies revise these requirements between cycles, sometimes without archival notice.

The authoritative document is always the official notification for the cycle you are applying in. Each specification page links to the issuing authority. Verify before submitting, particularly if you are applying near a deadline.

Calculators are not advice

The financial and health calculators here perform arithmetic on the figures you supply. They are not financial, investment, tax, legal or medical advice, and they do not take your full circumstances into account.

• Tax calculators apply slab and rate data recorded for a stated financial year, including surcharge and cess, and model salary income only. Capital gains, business income and deductions not entered are not considered. Confirm against current published rates before filing.
• Loan and investment calculators assume a fixed rate and level contributions. Real rates float and real returns vary; a SIP projection is not a forecast and can be negative over short periods.
• BMI is a population screening indicator. It cannot distinguish muscle from fat, says nothing about fat distribution, and is not a diagnosis. Consult a qualified professional for any health decision — we show the Indian (ICMR) thresholds because the WHO cut-offs misclassify South Asian body composition, but no body-mass index substitutes for a clinical assessment.

Age and date calculations

Age is computed on the calendar in your device's local time, which is what eligibility rules use. Where an examination notification expresses eligibility as a date-of-birth range, that range governs — not an age you have calculated. “Eligible” in a notification means exactly what the notification says.

Local processing and your responsibility for the file

Because processing happens entirely in your browser, we never receive your document. That is good for privacy and it also means we cannot recover a file you have lost, cannot inspect a file that behaved unexpectedly, and cannot confirm what a file contained. If you need support with a specific file, you will need to describe it or share a non-sensitive substitute.
