Compress a PDF toward 300KB
Start with a 300KB file-size target, or change it using the KB/MB control. The selected PDF is processed in your browser, not uploaded to a processing server.
Not every document can meet every target. Automatic mode may rebuild pages as images if a structural rewrite is insufficient; rebuilt pages lose selectable text and may lose links or interactive features. Check the actual result and keep your original.
Starting target: 300KB. You can change the size before processing.

How to do this, step by step
- 1Select an unencrypted PDF from your device. Inputs are limited to 50 MB each, with additional page and device-memory limits.
- 2Confirm the 300KB starting target or enter the limit from your application. Choose structure-only if you do not want pages rebuilt as images.
- 3Run the job and read the result card. It reports the original and output sizes and whether the target was met. A smaller result is not guaranteed.
- 4Download the PDF and check every page, especially small print, signatures and stamps. Verify that any links, forms and searchable text you need still work.
How the two approaches differ
Structure-only mode rewrites the PDF using object streams and resets some common document-info fields. It does not render the pages as images. Some files shrink; others are already compact. If a rewrite would make the file larger, the original is kept.
Automatic mode starts with the structural pass and may rebuild pages as JPEG images if the file remains over the target. The rebuild samples pages and can make another attempt at a lower setting; it is not a guarantee of the smallest possible file or the highest possible quality.
A rebuilt document no longer contains selectable or searchable page text and may lose accessibility information, links, forms, annotations and signatures. Look at the result message and keep the original when these features matter.
When a file is still too large
A 300KB ceiling is a byte limit, not a quality setting. A long colour scan, a page with photographs and a short text document will each behave differently. Very small limits can be impossible without making the pages unreadable.
Check whether the recipient allows you to submit only the relevant pages or separate files. If so, split or extract the permitted pages from the original, then try again. Do not omit required pages merely to meet a limit.
Lowering the maximum render resolution can reduce the size of a rebuilt PDF, but it may blur small text. Open the result in a PDF viewer and review every page at the size the recipient will use.
Privacy, metadata and safety
The application has no file-upload endpoint. A network connection may still be needed to load the page or PDF worker; offline use is not guaranteed.
A structural rewrite resets common document-info fields but does not promise to remove XMP, embedded files, scripts, visible names or other hidden information. It is not a malware scanner, secure-redaction tool or guarantee of anonymity.
Editing or rebuilding a digitally signed PDF can invalidate its signature. Keep the original and ask the recipient whether an edited copy is acceptable.
Frequently asked questions
Will every PDF reach 300KB?
No. Size depends on the original pages, images and features. The result card reports the actual size and warns if the target was not met.
Will text stay selectable?
Structure-only avoids rasterising pages. Automatic and rebuild modes may return pages as images, in which case selectable text and other features can be lost.
Can I process a password-protected PDF?
Encrypted PDFs are not supported. If authorised, make an unlocked copy with a PDF reader before using this tool.
What limits apply?
Each input is limited to 50 MB. PDF page and rendering limits also apply, and a phone may run out of memory below those limits.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The selected PDF is read and processed in your browser. Loading the site or PDF worker may still require a connection.
